NENI counts a bar, a cocktail bar, a bakery and a kitchen as one stocktake
Four stock areas under one roof, each run by different people, all of it now landing in a single report.

Some of the stock is in large fridges. I stood there in the cold, counting.

The location
NENI Amsterdam is not one room. It is a bar, a separate cocktail bar, a bakery and a kitchen sharing a single building, with stock spread across all of them.
Wine in particular sits everywhere. Different bottles, different areas, and a different person responsible for each one. All of it has to end up in one system.
What was not working
Once a month, everything had to be counted. In practice that meant four people each working it out their own way, in their own area, with stock scattered between them.
Items got entered twice. Items got missed entirely. The count ran for hours, and some of it happened standing inside a walk-in fridge.
Before, it was a hassle. Everyone figured it out on their own, with each other's stock all over the place. Things filled in double, or not at all.

How it runs now
Everyone has Peckish on their own phone. Each person films their own area, points the camera at the shelves, and the AI identifies and counts what is there. The team reviews the results, and the counts flow into one Peckish dashboard as a single report.
Still once a month. It just no longer takes the day.
Now we all have the Peckish app on our phones. We still do our stock once a month, but it goes so quickly and easily. Just point the phone at it, we review it, and it flows into the dashboard. The report is ready for the manager, and we know what is there.

What changed
The count itself got easier. The more useful change was everything that happens between counts.
With one accurate picture of stock across all four areas, NENI can see what is sitting still and what is about to run out, without waiting for the next monthly count to tell them.
The data we get between the stocktakes is super valuable. We have a clear view of stock that is catching dust or running out. The value is very accurate, and finance is happy to have that view as well.
